😢Versatile Creator Kostas Kafkaridis Dies
Deputy Ministry of Culture expresses deep sorrow for the death of Kostas Kafkaridis, a versatile artist active for over five decades in visual arts, scenography and costume design. Born in Nicosia in 1945, studied at the Sofia Academy. Helped found the Cyprus Theatre Organisation; designed sets and costumes for numerous productions. Founded New Theatre (later Satirical Theatre) and the Vladimir Kafkaridis Drama School; directed its Cultural Centre 1987–2018.
