1. Abolishment of the midday break in pharmacy operations as it is incompatible with patient needs.

2. Expansion of the network of pharmacies on duty with extended hours (especially during the day and at night).

3. Introduction of a daytime duty system for uninterrupted access to medications.

4. Adjustment of the working hours of private pharmacies in light of the implementation of universal health insurance and increased workload.

• The statement was a response to the position of the Greek Pharmaceutical Federation, which claims that patients are "satisfied" with the current schedule.
• OSAK emphasizes that pharmacists are healthcare professionals, and their responsibility to patients should be a priority.
• This issue was discussed with the Pharmaceutical Association of Cyprus back in November 2024, but no decisions have been made.

🔊 New Protest in Limassol Today in Memory of Fire Victims: Police Statement on Safety Measures
Today, August 1, 2025, a protest will take place in Limassol in memory of the victims of the tragic wildfire in the region. The event is scheduled to begin at 7:00 PM in the square in front of the Government Building on Anexartisias Street, where speeches are planned. Participants will then march to the seafront.

According to police, law enforcement officers from Limassol Police and the Municipal Authority (MMAD) will be ensuring public safety during the event.
