🔊 Brutal beating of a teenager (jaw and nose broken) in Strovolos Park: Teenagers attacked a young man over a conversation with a girl
The victim was hospitalized with fractures of the jaw and nose; the attackers are minors, the case will be considered under a special procedure.
On the evening of July 21, an incident involving a brutal beating occurred in Strovolos Park. According to AlphaNews, two underage teenagers attacked a 19-year-old young man, inflicting serious bodily injuries.
According to preliminary information from law enforcement agencies, the cause of the conflict was personal animosity related to a girl. One of the attackers had previously dated her and was outraged by the fact that the victim was simply talking to her.
The young men arranged to meet in the park under the pretext of a "conversation." However, instead of dialogue, the teenagers pounced on the young man and brutally beat him.
The victim, with severe injuries including fractures of the jaw and nose, was urgently taken to a hospital in Nicosia. Doctors performed the necessary surgery.
The police quickly identified the attackers. Considering that both defendants are minors, a special legal procedure will be applied to them. This means that instead of a standard criminal court, educational measures may be applied: referral to a psychologist, assignment of community service, or other forms of influence provided by law for juvenile offenders.
The investigation of the incident continues.
