🎥Anti‑Corruption Authority to Scrutinise Viral Video
Members meet Monday at 10:00 to review the contested video minute by minute. Commissioner Haris Poyatzis says the Authority will not act hastily but is not idle; it has examined the matter since the clip circulated. The Authority will liaise with the Legal Service, which already investigates the case, noting the law explicitly forbids parallel probes. After the review it will inform the Legal Service and, if gaps remain, may open a supplementary inquiry. Lacking in‑house technical capacity to judge editing effects, it is coordinating with police forensic teams.

🚌Bus drivers risk losing licences over camera fines
EMEL says accumulated penalty points from brief or possibly unfair camera detections could cost drivers their licences and jobs. Director Petros Theocharidis: buses in Limassol pass photo‑enforcement cameras about 60,000 times a year; on the busy coastal route one driver may pass cameras ~10,000 times annually. Six recorded red‑light breaches among those passes can revoke a licence. Drivers sometimes cross the second white line to avoid sudden stops on 12 m buses with passengers. EMEL calls for more bus lanes, dedicated signals and countdown timers. Around 200 complaints yearly from the 60,000 passes; only one speed case.

🇨🇾🌿 A rare natural wonder of Cyprus: a waterfall that appears only on special occasions
Exactly four years ago, Cyprus witnessed a truly unique phenomenon — for just a few hours, the island’s rarest and one of its largest waterfalls came to life.

Such a sight is possible only under very specific weather conditions, after intense rainfall, when nature quite literally “switches on” hidden water routes.
