😰Phase One Works Begin on Pedieos River Restoration
EU-funded works have started on phase one of the Pedieos river restoration, implemented by UNDP under the Programme Supporting the Turkish Cypriot Community. Phase covers 1.2 km and includes a two-way bike lane, pedestrian pavement and green buffer along the river. Works began in late November and are expected to finish by February 2026. Project is part of a larger plan for a 3.7 km linear park in northern Nicosia, to link with the south via the Ledra Palace crossing. Parliament to limit ex-presidents' perks
Parliament to debate law capping benefits for former Presidents and former House Presidents.
