At about 02:00 a.m. a 59-year-old man riding a personal mobility device (scooter) on Pernera Avenue in Paralimni, under circumstances being investigated, lost control, struck a roadside wall, overturned and ended up on the pavement. He was taken by ambulance to Famagusta General Hospital where doctors diagnosed a traumatic brain injury, lung contusion and multiple rib fractures. He was later transferred to Nicosia General Hospital. Treating physicians classify his condition as serious. Paralimni Police Station continues inquiries.
