Junior Project Economist - INEX Group, Paphos
INEX is hiring a Junior Project Economist to support financial tracking and basic analysis across our construction projects.
This is an entry-level role, ideal for recent graduates or candidates starting their career in finance or economics. You will work closely with senior team members, helping to maintain accurate financial data and gain hands-on experience in project economics.
Key responsibilities:
Project financial support:
- Assist in preparing and updating basic financial reports (including P&L summaries)
- Help track project expenses and compare planned vs. actual costs
Support cash flow tracking under supervision
Data verification:
- Check financial data for accuracy and completeness
- Cross-check information between different sources (ERP, reports, invoices)
- Flag inconsistencies or missing data to senior team members
Cost tracking:
- Assist in reviewing project costs and budgets
- Support basic analysis of subcontractor costs and expenses
- Help organize and maintain financial documentation
Reporting & analysis support:
- Prepare simple reports and summaries in Excel
- Support the team in collecting and structuring data for analysis
- Participate in internal reviews and discussions
Requirements:
- Degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, or a related field (or final-year student)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy with numbers
- Basic understanding of financial concepts (costs, revenue, profit)
- Good Excel skills (formulas, tables, basic analysis)
- Analytical mindset and willingness to learn
- Ability to work with structured data and follow processes
- Good English (written and spoken)
Nice to have:
- Internship or academic projects related to finance or analysis
- Familiarity with ERP systems or accounting tools
