We are now seeking a Chief Technology Officer to join our international leadership team in Limassol (Cyprus) 🔥🔥🔥
As CTO, you will define and drive the company’s technology vision and strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives and regulatory standards. You will lead the end-to-end technology landscape, spanning from engineering, development, IT operations, and security, to deliver a high-performing payments platform built on innovation, reliability, and compliance.
As a key member of the executive team, you will be responsible to:
1. Shape and execute the company’s long-term technology strategy, translating business priorities into an outcome-driven roadmap that accelerates growth.
2. Oversee the full product lifecycle for technology solutions — from ideation through to implementation and scaling — ensuring robust design, security, and scalability of the company’s core platforms.
3. Drive the integration of APIs, third-party services, and partner solutions to strengthen system connectivity and performance.
4. Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing technology team across engineering, IT operations, cybersecurity, and architecture. Foster a resilient, execution-focused, and innovation-driven culture.
5. Ensure full compliance with all relevant financial regulations, including PSD2, card scheme rules (Visa, Mastercard), and data protection laws.
6. Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Marketing, Client Services, Compliance, and Operations to deliver new products, system enhancements, and process improvements.
7. Implement and evolve enterprise-grade cybersecurity controls to protect client data and company assets.
8. Oversee IT budgets, vendor contracts, and resource allocation to maximize efficiency and operational excellence.
9. Manage key external relationships with processors, acquirers, issuers, card schemes, and technology vendors.
10. Ensure system stability, uptime, and performance through strong operational oversight.
11. Stay ahead of emerging technologies and market trends to drive innovation and competitive advantage.
PERSON SPECIFICATION:
1. At least 10 years of experience in technology/ engineering.
2. At least 5 years of experience in leading tech orgs (50+ people) in payments, EMI and/ or banking.
3. Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; MBA or equivalent business experience is a plus.
4. Demonstrated ability to design and deliver technology strategies that drive tangible business growth and operational outcomes.
5. Strong exposure to EMI/payment platforms, cybersecurity, and enterprise IT/infrastructure management.
6. Exceptional people leadership, stakeholder engagement, and vendor management across multiple time zones.
7. Clear, persuasive communicator able to engage executives, technical teams, and external partners.
8. Deep understanding of the regulatory and compliance landscape relevant to fintech and banking services.
9. A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. An MBA or equivalent experience in business management is highly desirable.
10. Fluent English
