Thats a good point because you might have to. Its important to legally enter CY when the application for work permit is submitted. Depending on your country of origin a simple entry visa maybe required on your return. More details are necessary. Happy to assist.

More details are necessary here but it could be possible for your employer to apply for a work permit for you especially since you have not received a student visa yet. As a student you can still work but not more than 20 hours. Happy to help if necessary.
