🎤Bring foreign experts to probe Drousiotis claims, lawyer urges
Lawyer Chris Triantafyllides says he knows nothing of the allegations and backs bringing foreign experts to remove prejudice. He warns public mistrust means even excellent police work may not convince. If senior justice officials are implicated, state institutions are at risk and an independent external probe is needed to restore confidence. On confidentiality: if a client reveals possible crimes, the lawyer must report to police and hand over evidence. Citizens have a right to silence but must appear, ID themselves and may then invoke it. Urgent seizure of devices and specialist forensic checks needed. He criticises the Justice Minister’s call for people to stay silent as reinforcing bias.
