🍷**The wine was given the SAFEST alcohol.
**British scientists in a study of 3️⃣4️⃣0️⃣ thousand people noticed: wine lovers are less likely to experience heart disease than those who prefer beer or spirits.
One of the factors is the style of consumption: a normal appetiser (cheese, meat, vegetables) is more often chosen with wine, rather than salty food, and less often they «dry out stress».

Bus drivers pull handbrake, take to streets
Two‑hour work stoppage today, Fri 09:00–11:00. Members of OMEPEGE‑SEK and SEGDAMELIN‑PEO. Protest at Solomou Square, Nicosia.
Unions say repeated warnings to the Transport Ministry about problems from the photo‑enforcement system and its impact on professional bus drivers received no substantive solution. They proposed installing red‑light warning units to avoid sudden braking that creates serious safety risks for passengers.
A bus cannot stop abruptly because of its size and the presence of seated (often without belts) and standing passengers. Unions apologise for any inconvenience to the travelling public.

📦Customs: EU customs reform hailed as success for Cyprus
Cyprus Customs calls 26 March political agreement between Council and European Parliament a major success. Under Cyprus' coordination, consensus reached on the Commission's May 2023 proposal. New framework creates a single modern EU customs data hub as central platform for traders and authorities, boosting data integrity, traceability and control efficiency. It adds simplified procedures for trusted traders, an EU handling fee for small‑parcel items and establishes a decentralized EU Customs Authority to oversee the hub and support national risk management. Aim: facilitate trade, improve duty collection and strengthen checks without undue burden.
