An 85‑year‑old man reported that between 17:00 and 18:20 yesterday an unknown intruder forced entry into his home, attacked him and stole cash. The victim was taken by ambulance to Nicosia General Hospital and kept for treatment. Doctors found a skull fracture, fractured ribs, lacerations to the head and swelling with a hematoma to one eye. 🚀M. Benthhaus first wheelchair user in space
German engineer M. Benthhaus on Saturday became the first wheelchair user to travel to space, flying aboard Blue Origin's suborbital New Shepard.
Launch from Texas at 08:15 local (14:15 GMT). In the roughly 10-minute flight the capsule crossed the Karman line.
Benthhaus, an ESA aerospace and mechatronics engineer, uses a wheelchair after a spinal cord injury from a mountain-bike accident and urged broader inclusion.
The capsule separated in flight and landed by parachute in the Texas desert. It was Blue Origin's 16th crewed flight. Jared Isaacman congratulated her online.
