๐Ÿš‘Four months later: 66-year-old Androulla dies after Limassol road collision
Limassol โ€” 66-year-old Androulla Sirivianou died today, four months after a serious traffic collision on July 30, 2025. The incident took place in the afternoon as she tried to cross a road and was struck by a car driven by a 30-year-old woman. She suffered a skull fracture and intracranial hematoma and had been treated in the Intensive Care Unit of a private hospital until her death. A formal autopsy will be conducted at a later stage. Limassol Traffic Police continue investigations.

A tragic crash occurred on the Limassolโ€“Nicosia highway early Saturday. A 17-year-old girl from Lympia died after a double-cab vehicle carrying five young people struck the guardrails around 02:30. The 22-year-old driver lost control while entering the motorway. The girl, seated in the back, suffered fatal injuries. The other passengers were lightly hurt. The driver tested positive in the initial alcohol check and was arrested.

Fire in Kyvides (Agios Akinidinos) brought under control. Six fire engines from Limassol city and district responded, supported by two Forestry vehicles and one from British Bases. Burnt about 1 hectare of dry grass, wild vegetation, pines and carob trees. Two firefighting aircraft made water drops. Livestock shelters were protected. Crews remain on site for final extinguishing and full containment.

New fire reported near Dora. Three district fire engines and one Forestry vehicle responded. Two aircraft are also conducting water drops.

Police arrested two men, 19 and 21, under court warrants while probing disturbances late Thursday at the Apollon club in Limassol.
Shortly after midnight on November 27 a hooded group entered, threw firecrackers and Molotovโ€‘type incendiary devices and clashed with patrons.
Fleeing suspects set fire to a trash bin and damaged twelve cars.
A warrant search of the club recovered items including a wooden hoe handle, a wooden broom handle with attached metal skewer, gloves and a helmet.

Late Saturday a large wildfire erupted north of Akourdalia in Paphos.
The blaze started in reed beds and is being driven by strong winds in the area.
Firefighting teams were dispatched immediately; operations have been reinforced with firefighting vehicles from the Forest Department.
The District Administration has also sent hired earthmovers to create containment lines and assist crews.
A video circulating from the scene shows extensive smoke and wind-driven flames.
