А specialised crew visited Thursday, lifted and dismantled the bus and removed floor panels to locate the origin; findings expected in days. Minister asks an independent expert to review the case and confirm recommended measures for extra assurance.

🤝Athens: Low expectations for tripartite on Cyprus amid elections in occupied north
Greek and Turkish foreign ministers spoke before cancellation of a planned meeting between PM Mitsotakis and President Erdogan. Cancellation blamed on cramped schedules, not a token move, says a senior diplomat. Whether tension exists on the other side remains unclear. On Greece‑Cyprus‑Syria: Syria and Libya are key dossiers; next steps agreed and a joint three‑country committee will be set up. Electricity interconnection will proceed after procedural issues are resolved. Cyprus talks in dynamic phase; UN has elevated the file. Due to elections in the occupied north, few results are expected from the upcoming tripartite.

Can “Free Palestine” be considered antisemitic?
Three Cypriot academics say no. They cite the IHRA functional definition: criticism of Israel is not automatically antisemitic. Antisemitism includes calls for violence, attributing collective guilt to Jews, denying services to Jews, or equating Jews with state crimes. “Free Palestine” targets policies and self‑determination, falls under freedom of expression and international law; courts and UN bodies note occupation and possible crimes. Depicting harmed children or using “genocide” is political protest, not inherently antisemitic. Direct incitement against Jews would be.

🍕 Is Limassol really more expensive than Nicosia, or just a myth?
A group of friends decided to test it out by visiting a pizzeria to compare the prices and taste of Neapolitan pizza with those in Nicosia. An interesting experiment: are we paying more for food, or simply looking in the wrong places?

Geroskipou residents rally over Riccos Beach café
A group staged a protest on Saturday along the Geroskipou shoreline to support the Riccos Beach café operators after the municipal council decided to invite tenders for the site. Operators present at the spot for 50 years say the move would effectively displace the family running the business. The event drew local residents, members of the War Disabled Association and the deputy mayors of Geroskipou and Paphos. The Association affirmed its support for those who sacrificed for the country. The municipality says bids were submitted via the General Accounting Office electronic system and that it cannot award the lease without an open tender.
