Head of Risk Analytics

We are looking for an experienced Head of Risk Analytics to lead our risk function and take full ownership of the credit portfolio performance, directly impacting portfolio quality, default rates, and company profitability.

Key Responsibilities
Manage and improve key portfolio metrics, including DPD, Default Rate, Delinquency, NPL, Approval Rate, Cost of Risk, and Portfolio Profitability.
Develop and optimize underwriting policies, scoring logic, approval criteria, and credit limits through continuous testing and experimentation.
Lead the Risk Analytics team, set priorities, monitor performance, and develop team capabilities.
Perform advanced data analysis using PostgreSQL, including customer segmentation, portfolio analysis, and hypothesis validation.
Prepare detailed business requirements for the IT team, ensuring accurate implementation of new risk rules and process improvements.
Build analytical reports and dashboards, providing regular risk reporting to senior management.
Collaborate with Risk Operations to ensure compliance with risk policies and achievement of portfolio KPIs.
Requirements
Proven leadership experience in Risk Management or Risk Analytics.
Mandatory experience in Microfinance (MFI), Online Lending, Consumer Finance, or Banking.
Strong SQL skills and practical experience working with relational databases.
Advanced proficiency in Google Sheets and Microsoft Excel (complex formulas, pivot tables, data analysis).
Strong understanding of lending economics and credit portfolio management.
Experience managing analytical teams and driving KPI performance.
Ability to design transparent analytical processes and reporting.
Experience translating business requirements into clear technical specifications for development teams.
Nice to Have
Python for data analysis and predictive modeling.
