Payment Officer
You are someone who treats every cent with the same level of care as a million dollars. You understand that behind every wire transfer is a customer or a business waiting for their funds, and you take pride in making the "plumbing" of the financial world work flawlessly.
Key Responsibilities
• Global Wire Transfers: Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of high-volume SWIFT, SEPA, and local rail transactions.
• Payment Operations: Manage and approve daily disbursements, ensuring funds reach vendors, partners, or users without friction.
• Treasury Support: Monitor liquidity across multiple corporate bank accounts and digital wallets to ensure all payment obligations are met.
• Banking & PSP Relations: Act as the primary point of contact for banking partners and Payment Service Providers (PSPs) to troubleshoot delays and optimize routing.
• Compliance & Risk Mitigation: Rigorously monitor transactions for AML/KYC compliance, identifying and escalating high-risk transfers in accordance with financial regulations.
• Reporting: Maintain accurate logs of transaction statuses and assist the finance team with month-end reconciliations and audit queries.
Requirements & Qualifications
Category Requirement
Experience 2+ years of experience in payments, back-office, or treasury operations within a Fintech.
Technical Skills Deep understanding of correspondent banking, intermediary fees, and payment messaging standards.
Problem Solving Proven ability to "trace" stuck wires and resolve complex cross-border payment issues.
Compliance Strong grasp of AML/CTF standards and the regulatory landscape for electronic money institutions (EMIs).
Adaptability Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where software and processes evolve quickly.
