Accountant (Cyprus-based)

Key Responsibilities
• Full accounting management for Cyprus-based companies (café, padel park, retail store).
• Preparation and submission of financial statements in accordance with Cyprus legislation.
• Managing accounts receivable and accounts payable.
• Preparation and submission of VAT and VIES reports.
• Payroll processing: salaries, working hours, holidays, and social insurance contributions.
• Maintaining and organizing primary documentation (invoices, receipts, bank statements).
• Cooperation with the external auditor and preparation of annual reports.
• Ensuring financial transparency across business units (simple P&L for café, padel park, and bike shop).
• Advising on taxation and improving financial processes.
Requirements
• Proven experience as an accountant in Cyprus — mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of Cyprus tax legislation (VAT, Social Insurance, Income Tax).
• Experience with Powersoft365 or readiness to quickly learn the system.
• Experience with other accounting software (Softone, Xero, Pocketbiz, etc.) is an advantage.
• Excellent Excel / Google Sheets skills.
• High attention to detail, structured approach, ability to handle multiple business units.
• Good command of English; Greek is an advantage.
