### Job Description: Day Zero Specialist
**
Position Title: Day Zero Specialist
Department: Security / Engineering
Reports to: Chief Security Officer (CSO)
Location: Limassol, CY
Employment Type: **Full-Time / On Site
#### Overview:
The Day Zero Specialist is a cybersecurity expert who identifies and exploits vulnerabilities in systems, applications, and networks during the critical pre-launch phase. The goal is to simulate real-world attacks to uncover security flaws before the system goes live, ensuring robust protection against cyber threats.
#### Key Responsibilities:
- Perform penetration testing and vulnerability assessments on systems during the Day Zero phase.
- Simulate cyber-attacks (e.g., SQL injection, XSS) to test security defenses.
- Collaborate with development and security teams to fix vulnerabilities.
- Document and report findings with recommendations for remediation.
- Advise on security best practices and risk mitigation strategies.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging security threats and hacking techniques.
#### Skills & Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in ethical hacking or penetration testing.
- Proficient with hacking tools (Metasploit, Burp Suite, Kali Linux, etc.).
- Strong knowledge of vulnerabilities (OWASP Top 10), web apps, and network protocols.
- Programming/scripting skills (Python, Bash, etc.) for exploit development.
- Security certifications (OSCP, CEH) are a plus.
- Strong communication skills for reporting technical findings.
#### Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field (preferred).
