Spotware Systems is seeking an experienced Postgres DBA Tech Lead to join our dynamic team in Limassol. This role involves leading a team specializing in PostgreSQL database administration.
**
Responsibilities:**
•Development and administration of PostgreSQL databases.
•Database performance monitoring and PostgreSQL query optimization.
•Identifying and resolving database performance bottlenecks.
•Management and support of backup and recovery procedures.
Installation and maintenance of database servers, replication, and client environments.
•Ensuring high availability and fault tolerance of systems.
•Collaborating with other departments to prioritize and align project requirements.
•Leading a team of database administrators, task allocation, and performance monitoring.
•Implementing and overseeing database administration processes to improve team efficiency.
•Risk management in projects and quick resolution of emerging issues.
Using automation tools for managing database tasks (Jenkins, Ansible, Liquibase, Python).

Requirements:
• Ability to design and implement complex algorithms.
Intuitive understanding of dataflows and background computing involved in data processing.
• Good knowledge of SQL and PLPGSQL.
• Good knowledge of Linux, bash and scripting in general.
• 3+ years of experience in database administration and/or development.
• Some programming background will be a plus.
• Basic operating knowledge of PostgreSQL DB.
• Experience in troubleshooting and resolving database integrity issues, performance issues, blocking and deadlocking issues, replication issues, security issues, etc.
• Good knowledge of PostgreSQL backup and recovery (WAL Archiving, Point-in-Time Recovery).
• Experience in database deployment.
• B1+ English language level.

Spotware Systems is looking for an experienced SRE Engineer to join our office in Limassol.

Responsibilities:
- Manage and configure monitoring systems to ensure the stability and reliability of infrastructure and services
- Configure monitoring dashboards, alerts, and metrics to track system health, performance, and reliability
- Proactively monitor alerts and respond promptly to resolve issues based on established procedures and best practices
- Gather and analyze data to identify trends and potential areas of improvement, facilitating troubleshooting processes
- Conduct thorough troubleshooting activities, including investigating system failures, diagnosing issues, and implementing corrective actions
- Work with urgent technical issues escalated by the customer support team
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address incidents and minimize service disruptions, ensuring a high level of availability and performance

Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, System Administration or similar roles
- Proficiency in managing and configuring the production observability systems (zabbix, prometheus, graylog, ELK, etc)
- Basic knowledge of linux
- Basic understanding of network fundamentals
Nice to have:
- Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) and automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform)
- Knowledge of security best practices
