Senior Accountant
Limassol, Cyprus

Almond Recruitment, on behalf of our client, a corporate services company, are currently looking for a Senior Accountant to join their office in Limassol. The company has been established for over 10 years and has since grown to become a well-respected firm. The successful candidate will manage a portfolio of clients, handling their accounting. Responsibilities
- Monitoring all bookkeeping and recording transactions in the accounting system and registration of income and expenses for local and international clients.
- Preparation, management, and presentation of monthly, quarterly, and annual profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
- Monthly reconciliation of bank accounts.
- Preparation and review of internal reports at regular intervals (as requested by the firm’s management).
- Communication with clients to collect necessary documents for the bookkeeping purposes.
- Management of income/revenue and taxes, and preparation of income tax return declarations, V.A.T. declarations, social insurance declarations, and other declarations in compliance with the applicable legislative and regulatory framework. TaxisNet/TaxPortal service (preparation and submission of OSS, VIES, V.A.T.)
- Preparation and submission IR7 Forms.
- Preparation and submission/calculation of SDC and GHS.
- Regular liaison with external auditors to organize and update financial records of companies.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- At least 5 years of experience in a similar role as client accountant
- Thorough knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
- Knowledge of the applicable Cyprus Tax, VAT, Social Insurance and other relevant legislation shall be considered as a vital, additional qualification.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Proficiency in financial and accounting software and tools. - Knowledge of Intelisoft will be considered as an advantage.
- Experience in the real estate industry will be considered as an advantage.
- Fluent in English verbal and written (Russian language will be considered as an advantage)
