Finance Manager at Private Equity Funds (Cyprus)

Position Title: Finance Manager
Location: Limassol, Cyprus 
Reports To: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

About the Company: a leading private equity fund focused on investments in Russia.
  
Position Overview: 
The Finance Manager will play a crucial role in managing the financial operations of the private equity funds in Cayman Islands and Luxembourg. This includes overseeing the preparation of quarterly reports for investors, coordinating the annual audit of financial statements, and managing the fund's treasury functions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial management within the private equity industry, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with different providers and different countries.

Key Responsibilities
Quarterly Reporting:
• Prepare and present comprehensive quarterly financial reports for investors, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards
• Collaborate with investment teams to gather and analyze financial data from portfolio companies
• Develop and maintain financial models to support reporting and forecasting activities.
• Working with multiple Investors requests and adapting Funds reporting to LP’s internal reporting database
• Ensure timely distribution of financial reports to investors and respond to any inquiries.

Annual Audit:
• Coordinate the annual audit of financial statements, working closely with external auditors (2 different teams) 
• Coordinate the annual Valuation assessment of the portfolio companies
• Ensure all financial records are accurate and compliant with IFRS, Lux GAAP and US GAAS and other relevant accounting standards.
• Prepare audit schedules, financial statements, and footnotes for the annual audit.
• Address and resolve any audit findings or issues in a timely manner.

Treasury Management: 
• Manage the fund's cash flow, including forecasting and monitoring cash balances.
• Oversee the management of bank accounts, investments, and other financial assets.
• Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard the fund's assets.
• Optimize the fund’s capital structure and financing strategies.

Statutory ang tax reporting of Funds and GPs 
• Preparation of FATCA /CRS reporting for the Funds and LPs (annually)
• Preparation of US Tax reporting for LPs (annually) 
• Luxemburg and Cayman CIMA regulation compliance and reporting 
• Standalone Luxembourger tax forms preparations (income taxes and VAT for Funds and GP) 
• Cayman substance rules regulation and reporting preparation 
• Various regulations requests from Funds AIFM, Transfer agents and Administrators

Qualifications: 
• Fluent English 
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial management, preferably within the private equity sector or experience in an audit/accounting firm.
• Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and audit processes.
• Proficiency in financial modeling and analysis.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in using financial software and tools (e.g., Excel, accounting software, ERP systems).
