Position: Senior System Administrator

Introduction
A global fintech company is looking for a Senior System Administrator to join the team in the Cyprus office. The direct and reporting manager is IT Support Team Lead.

Responsibilities:

System Management and Maintenance:
Ensure optimal performance, security, and scalability of our on-premises and cloud infrastructure.
Administer, maintain, and optimize Microsoft Active Directory.
Oversee and manage Office 365, Google G Suite, and VMware vSphere environments.

Endpoint Management:
Implement and oversee endpoint management solutions, primarily using ManageEngine.
Handle patch management, software deployment, and OS imaging.

Internal User Support:
Provide Tier II/III support to internal users across Windows, Mac, and Linux platforms.
Troubleshoot hardware and software issues efficiently, ensuring minimal downtime.

Infrastructure Monitoring and Alerting:
Monitor system health, performance, and security.
Configure alerts for system anomalies and respond swiftly to any infrastructure-related incidents.

Collaboration:
Work closely with the IT and Security teams to implement security best practices.
Participate in IT projects, providing technical input and hands-on support.

Continuous Learning and Improvement:
Stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices.
Recommend system enhancements to improve performance, reliability, and security.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a system administrator role, preferably in the financial sector.
Strong expertise in Microsoft Active Directory, Office 365, Google G Suite, and VMware vSphere.
Relevant certifications, such as MCSA, MCSE, VMware VCP, etc. is a plus.
Hands-on experience with ManageEngine or similar endpoint management solutions.
Knowledge of key backup systems and methodologies (Veeam).
Proficiency in supporting users across Windows, Mac, and Linux platforms.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Familiarity with the latest security practices and protocols in the industry.
Ability to produce accurate technical guidance and documentation.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Experience working in a regulated financial environment.
