System Administrator **

An innovative, fast-growing and progressive investment firm is seeking to recruit a highly experienced, responsible System administrator to join their team of professionals.

This represents an excellent opportunity for an experienced System Administrator to further develop their career with one of the fast-growing investment firms operating in Cyprus.

Duties & Responsibilities:
-Configures and Administers Linux systems.
-Manages the procurement of hardware and software from approved suppliers.
-Configures and Administers XEN Hypervisors.
-Configures and Administers Open source Linux based Email systems (Zimbra, exim).
-Configures and Administers backup and recovery services.
-Analyses the performance of the environment and provides recommendations for improvement.
-Ensures the efficient functionality of all I.T. hardware equipment.
-Ensures the security of IT Services and Infrastructure.
-Conducts research and development on infrastructure initiatives to keep in line with up to date
technologies.

Our requirements:
-Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or relevant field.
-Minimum 5 years Systems Administrator Experience with an emphasis on Linux related OS.
-Experience in Physical & Virtual Server deployments.
-Excellent Verbal and written communication skills.
-Fluent English.
-Strong knowledge in managing Windows/Linux Server and Active Directory.
- Understanding of Storage Area Networks (SAN).
- Experienced admin of MySQL (MariaDB), Redis.
- Experienced admin of web-server NGINX.
- Experienced admin of mail servers.
- Experience in requirements & performance analysis for platform/infrastructure services.
- Experience in the investigation of different incidents.
- Skills and practical experience in containerization and virtualization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Experience in the organization of CI/CD (GitLab).
- Experience in support of 24/7 systems.
- Knowledge of Shell Scripting (simple scripts development).
