JOB VACANCY: Design Engineer

About the position:
As an Design Engineer your key functions will revolve around designing and developing new electronic products, while also ensuring they are modern, safe, reliable, and manufacturable.

Key functions:
✔️ Product Design and Development: Lead the conceptualization, design, and development of innovative consumer electronic products from ideation to final production.
✔️ PCB Layout and Prototyping: Create and review PCB layouts, oversee prototype development, and conduct thorough testing and debugging.
✔️ Product Specification and Documentation: Prepare detailed product specifications, design documentation, and technical drawings to guide the manufacturing process.
✔️ Design Validation and Testing: Perform rigorous testing and validation to ensure product performance, reliability, and compliance with industry standards and regulations.
✔️ Collaboration with Cross-functional Teams: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers, industrial designers, and software developers, to integrate various components into the final product.
✔️ Manufacturability and Cost Optimization: Analyze and optimize designs for ease of manufacturing, cost-effectiveness, and scalability.
✔️ Innovation and Research: Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in consumer electronics and apply new technologies and design methodologies to enhance product features.
✔️ Regulatory Compliance: Ensure products meet safety, environmental, and other regulatory requirements, obtaining necessary certifications as needed.
✔️ Problem Solving and Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve design issues and challenges that arise during development and manufacturing phases.
✔️ Continuous Improvement: Evaluate and implement design process improvements to enhance efficiency and quality.
✔️ Project Management: Manage design projects, set timelines, and ensure on-time delivery of high-quality products.

Qualification and skills:
✔️ Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Design Engineer in the field of consumer electronics and instrumentation (or similar).
✔️ Perfect Ukranian or Belorussian language speaking and writing.
✔️ Principles and specifics of designing plastic parts: Proficient in designing components made from plastic materials. Creating spare parts for plastic injection casting.
✔️ Principles and specifics of designing sheet metal parts: Skilled in designing components made from sheet metal.
✔️ Experience in designing test fixtures and templates: Knowledgeable in creating test fixtures and templates for conducting checks and tests on parts and components.
✔️ Working knowledge of molds and metal processing: Familiarity with the operation of molds, dies, and various metal processing techniques such as bending, milling, stamping, and finishing.
✔️ Proficiency in SolidWorks: Competent in using SolidWorks as the design environment.
✔️ Prototyping validation and issue resolution: Experienced in validating prototypes and identifying and resolving issues in the device's design.
✔️ Finding optimal design solutions: Capable of identifying optimal design solutions considering factors like cost, quality, and production complexity.
✔️ Prototyping technologies knowledge: Familiar with prototyping technologies and methods.
✔️ Materials expertise (metals and plastics): Knowledgeable in materials science, specifically metals and plastics.
✔️ Creating drawings and production documentation: Able to produce detailed drawings and comprehensive documentation required for manufacturing.
