**Role and Duration:

**We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Full Stack Web Developer with team leading experience to join our team. Working for uQualify you will be responsible for leading and mentoring a team of developers, developing and maintaining web applications using Laravel, PHP, JavaScript and CSS hosted on AWS. The ideal candidate should have a passion for writing clean and efficient code, excellent problem-solving skills, and a strong desire to learn and grow.

**Responsibilities:

**- Lead and mentor a team of developers in designing, developing, testing, and deploying new features and web applications
- Develop technical specifications and architecture documentation
- Participate in code reviews and ensure that code is well-documented and adheres to best practices
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop new features and improve existing ones
- Identify and troubleshoot issues
- Optimise code and databases
- Stay up-to-date with new technologies and programming languages relevant to web development
- Act as a technical advisor and provide guidance to the team on complex technical issues
- Collaborate with project managers to estimate project timelines, prioritise work, and ensure that deliverables are met on time and within budget
- Continuously monitor and improve development processes and workflows

**Key competences skills and experience:

**- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
- At least 6 years of experience in web development
- Strong experience with Laravel, PHP, JavaScript, CSS, SQL and hosting environments
- Proven experience leading and mentoring a team of developers
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Experience with database design
- Familiarity with version control systems (such as Git)
- Experience working in an agile environment
- Ability to write clean, efficient, and maintainable code
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
- Solid understanding of security best practices in web development
- Fluency in English. Knowledge of other languages will be an advantage

**Nice to have:

**- Experience with AWS or other cloud platforms
- Financial service industry experience
- Experience with banking or payment integrations
- Security framework experience, PCI-DSS, NIST etc.
