 Responsibilities:
• Participate in incident(s) investigation(s) from DB side
• Database state daily monitoring
• Software releases review from DB perspective
• Participation in infrastructure projects: GEO-distributed systems, Resiliency, Cost optimizations.
Requirements:
• 3+ years of demonstrated work experience in ensuring AWS RDS PostgreSQL availability under heavy load
• Extensive knowledge of AWS RDS PostgreSQL functionality, operational limits, troubleshooting and monitoring tools and methods
• Experience in building horizontally - distributed RDS PostgreSQL farms and in setting up and maintaining sync\async replication for RDS PostgreSQL across the farm
• Experience in collaboration with Development team on optimizing current code and DB structure, indexes, statistics updates parameters, etc. and checking performance compliance of new code
• Experience in at least one of the following monitoring tools - Grafana, DataDog, AWS Performance insights
• Infrastructure-as-code methodology experience with Terraform
Will be an advantage:
• Experience in applying rate-limit techniques for DB queries in distributed transactions system environments with RDS PostgreSQL.
• Experience in building SQL-query request routing and rewriting solutions under heavy load with RDS PostgreSQL as DB
• Experience with AWS Redshift
