React Native Developer | Interexy

We are looking for a React Native Developer📱to join our team and contribute to two ongoing mobile applications. You’ll be working on:

1) A photo book creation and ordering app
2) A restaurant discovery and booking platform

This role includes full-cycle feature implementation, S3 image handling, reviewing functionality, and fixing critical blocking bugs across both projects.

1️⃣Project 1: Photo Book App

Main Features:

🔸Multi-provider user authentication (Email, Facebook, Google, Apple)
🔸Onboarding, login, password reset
🔸Profile management (info, addresses, purchase history)
🔸Book creation with up to 100 photos from device/Instagram/🔸Facebook/Google
🔸In-app photo editing (Crop, Move, Rotate, Draw, Add text, Replace)
🔸My Books section (edit, save, order)
🔸Checkout flow: quantity, address, price calc, Payfast payment
🔸Image compression & upload to S3

2️⃣Project 2: Restaurant App

Key Features:

🔹Sign-up via email + password (no confirmation; pending admin approval)
🔹Login/Logout
🔹Home screen with restaurant recommendations
🔹Restaurant detail page with:
🔹Tabs: Menu, Photos, Description, Events
🔹Metadata: tags, working hours, cuisine, contact info

🤖Responsibilities

🔻Implement and improve app screens and navigation
🔻Work with media upload and S3 storage for images (books, restaurants, events, users)
🔻Connect and consume REST APIs
🔻Implement authentication and access control flows
🔻Optimize app performance and UI responsiveness
🔻Review existing functionality, identify and fix critical bugs
🔻Collaborate with designers and backend developers

⚙️Requirements

▪️3+ years of experience with React Native
▪️Solid knowledge of mobile UI/UX design
▪️Hands-on experience with:

Project Overview

🗓Situation:

This is a platform for seminars and e-learning courses that can be accessed by both customers and internal employees.
The customer is already well advanced in terms of user experience and content. There is still a need for optimisation in the areas of safety/security, authentication and search engine optimisation.
The platform is to be used regularly through daily microlearning. The platform should also learn about user behaviour in order to optimise search results.

💪Challenges:

▫️Authentication & identification of customers
▫️B2B tenant to B2C tenant
▫️Search engine optimisation and subsequent presentation.

📈Tasks:

🔸The landscape consists of several interfaces. The basis should be Azure, where a WordPress application is securely linked to the customer and employee data.
🔸A B2C tenant is to be created as a user pool (currently B2B tenant), which guarantees the authentication of customers and identification of new users. The customer’s security guidelines must be observed and maintained here.
🔸Another function is the authentication of newly registered users as a customer via the Pangea interface. The customer’s security standards must also be observed here.
