Legal Counsel role at international HFT firm, which is an innovative company doing algorithmic trading on the traditional and crypto markets worldwide for more than 10 years already and is one of the biggest market makers in 7 countries on the stock exchanges from Chicago to Hong Kong with offices in Cyprus, Netherlands, Switzerland and other jurisdictions. We are constantly developing our business and actually exploring new markets and opportunities in different countries.

We're now looking for a Legal Counsel with 1-5 years’ PQE to join our legal team in Cyprus/Limassol. This position will report to our Head of Legal and will cover the full range of legal and regulatory matters affecting the company. You will need to be able to adapt traditional legal concepts to the innovative and fast moving international crypto/HFT business.

Upcoming tasks:
• Work on various matters in the international environment (fund structuring, regulatory, tax aspects, partnership agreements etc.)
• Legal research and advice on different legal/regulatory issues, including those relating to financial regulations, employment, intellectual property, tax, data privacy etc.
• Assist our administration/financial team in KYC procedures, registration of new companies, immigration procedures etc.
• Participate to the structuring and drafting of the legal documentation of various investment vehicles focusing on legal, business, regulatory and tax aspects;
• Assist in managing the overall legal and regulatory aspects of AIFMs, CIF and different investment vehicles;
• Legal support in different corporate matters of the Cypriot and foreign companies of the group
• Draft board & general meetings minutes etc.

Your profile: **
• Master’s degree in Law;
• 1-5 years’ PQE;
• Familiarity and/or experience with the private equity environment/financial institutions preferred;
• Knowledge of fund structuring, HFT business, finance and international tax concepts considered as strong advantage;
• Knowledge of AIFMD environment, MIFID-II, financial regulations would be an asset;
• A strong interest in blockchain and crypto assets technology and the ability to gain a quick understanding of products;
• Keen to build and develop your legal expertise;
• Team player and proactive;
• Fluent in written and spoken English, other languages will be an advantage (Greek, Dutch, Russian)
