Head of Legal

We are now looking for a Head of Legal to join Strikerz and lead this function at a strategic level, driving legal excellence and supporting the company’s continued global growth. The Legal function is an established and integral part of the company, supporting a live product, international operations, and a wide network of strategic partnerships.

Responsibilities:

Team Management
• Manage and scale an effective Legal team with strong growth potential;
• Define team structure, ownership areas and ensure deep expertise across key legal domains;
• Establish efficient legal processes, workflows and transparent collaboration with business units;
• Drive hiring, development and performance of the Legal team.
• Corporate and Compliance
• Advise on corporate law matters under English law;
• Supervise fiduciary providers and corporate secretarial services;
• Ensure proper maintenance of corporate structure and documentation (International entities);
• Oversee corporate relationships with affiliates;
• Partner with Finance on corporate structuring and related initiatives.

Privacy and Data Protection
• Maintain and develop company-wide privacy standards and policies;
• Support teams in reviewing products, features and initiatives from a data protection perspective;
• Oversee data flows and ensure compliance with applicable privacy frameworks;
• Implement risk mitigation strategies to ensure data protection compliance across the company

Intellectual Property
• Advise on all IP matters, including trademarks, copyrights and product-related IP;
• Oversee IP portfolio management and handle key infringement cases;
• Support licensing, copyright clearance and collaboration with partnerships teams.

Commercial Contracts
• Lead and negotiate key commercial agreements (licensing, marketing, publishing, partnerships, vendors, etc.);
• Partner with Product, Marketing and Business Development on strategic deals;
• Improve and scale contract workflows, templates and approval processes.

Product Compliance
• Support development of content moderation and compliance policies;
• Ensure alignment with platform, partner and industry requirements;
• Identify and mitigate product-related legal risks;
• Review product features for compliance (digital services, loot boxes, consumer protection, age ratings, advertising).

Requirements:
• Strong academic background in Law;
8+ years of legal experience (law firm, in-house or mixed), preferably in IT / gaming / digital products;
• Solid knowledge of English law;
• Proven experience in leading legal functions or teams;
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Nice to have:
• Commercially minded, pragmatic and solution-oriented;
• Proactive and interested in contributing to product development and cross-functional collaboration;
• Able to work effectively with stakeholders across all levels of seniority;
• Willing to share knowledge and mentor team members;
• Strong interest in the football industry and understanding of gaming trends is a plus.

We’re looking for a Lead Meta Game Designer to drive the development of engaging, rewarding meta systems that keep players coming back — from progression loops and in-game economy to seasonal challenges and long-term player retention.

Responsibilities:
• Create, implement and own the Metagame & Monetization Roadmaps;
• Manage the UFL metagame economy: design & control the implementation of the game features and evaluate its effectiveness;
• Partner with the Analytics Team to perform data analysis;
• Team up with Design, Development, Production and Product leadership;
• Lead and mentor a team of Game Designers (up to 10 FTE);
• Monitor trends in the game monetization field to inform industry best practices.

Skills and requirements:
• Great leadership skills and a team-player mentality;
• 5 years of experience in Game Development on a Lead Game Designer / Monetization Lead role (PC/Console experience preferred);
• Successful cases of FTP game operation, clear understanding of FTP mechanic trends;
• Team management experience;
• Familiarity with the online gaming industry, including trends and monetization models.

Position: Product Counsel
Company: Strikerz Inc.
Location: Paphos / Limassol / Remote

We are looking for a Product Counsel to join our rapidly growing global team and to head the Product legal department and be responsible for all legal aspects of operating the UFL (console football AAA game).

Responsibilities:
• Intellectual Property
- Advising the business on all aspects of IP, including TMs and copyrights, IP aspects of products releases.
- Supervising IP portfolio management. Resolve IP infringement issues.
- Advising the business in regard to copyright matters, including IP licenses, copyright clearance, permission to use third-party copyright works, cooperating closely with the license and partnerships department.

• Commercial Contracts
- Managing, drafting and negotiating multiple commercial agreements (license, marketing, publishing, partnerships etc.) with sports outfit brands, football clubs, ads agents, ambassadors, software service providers etc.
- Working with product teams and marketing departments on commercial deals with key contractors and strategic partners.
- Working closely with the business development team to improve the contractual workflow.

• Product Compliance
- Assist in defining content moderation policies and manage compliance with distribution platforms, partnering brands, football industry institutions and related organizations rules;
- Ensure Product Liability and Safety issues through identifying and mitigating risks;
- Reviews product features for compliance with applicable regulations on digital content/services, loot boxes, consumer protection, age ratings, online advertising and other related subjects.

• Team Management
- Building up an effective Product Legal Team with the clear potential to scale up;
- Organize and supervise effective recruiting, strong team management and deep expertise;
- Organize and manage sound legal operations structure and transparent business processes.

About you:
• You are confident with a commercial sense, pragmatic and solutions oriented;
• You are interested in and ready to actively participate in development of company’s products through optimizing, improving and simplifying cooperation between departments and teams;
• You are able to collaborate positively, respectfully and effectively with each seniority level;
• You are passionate about sharing experience with junior team members and colleagues from different expertise;
• You have a keen interest in football business, including knowledge of championships, leagues, clubs, players, seasons, transfers and the latest football and video gaming trends.

Requirements:
• Strong academic credentials, including an appropriate law degree;
• Post education experience: 7+ (preferably 9+) years of legal experience in a law firm, in-house or a mix, ideally in information technologies and interactive entertainment;
• Hands-on experience with EU regulations and English contract law;
• Strong analytical skills, ability to conduct legal research and demonstrate excellent judgment;
• Strong written and oral communication skills;
• Excellent organizational skills, ability to manage team, follow through and meet deadlines;
• Ability to work independently;
• Fluent English.
