👀 We are it People Everywhere agency looking for a Senior Data Engineer for our client - a US-based IT product company in the fintech domain (systematic quantitative hedge fund).

The product is based on a science and technology-driven global quantitative trading business approach. Currently, this is one of the industry most successful trading companies, fueled by several technological innovations and algorithmic breakthroughs.

👨🏻‍💻The Senior Data Engineer will join the core services technology team. Data drives systematic trading and is critical to all aspects of the firm's business.

This is a hands-on position on a small team of data engineers with significant growth potential, as this team will grow rapidly over the next couple of years. The firm is looking for outstanding technical skills, strong attention to detail, and experience architecting and building data platforms.


🌎Location: Yerevan, Armenia (hybrid mode with 3 days in-office requirement)

Interview process:

1️⃣ - HR screening (30 minutes)
2️⃣ - Technical interview (1-1,5 hours)

What kind of qualifications we are looking for:

📝Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science or a related field

📝1+ year of experience in designing, optimizing, and deploying ETL/ELT and analytics pipelines

📝Strong programming skills - Python and Proficiency with SQL

📝Experience supporting Financial Products/Reference Data

📝Experience with AWS, Hadoop, Spark


What we are expecting from you:

📍Timely onboarding of structured and alternative data vendors

📍Communicate with quantitative researchers and other end-users to understand their requirements and potential future requests

📍Investigate vendor data thoroughly to become a subject matter expert on its characteristics and irregularities

📍Design and implement efficient reusable ETL processing components using cutting-edge technologies, and write robust tests for ongoing quality control

📍Enhance existing data infrastructure and services

📍Optimize data IO and load balancing for grid computation

📍Automate data storage management
