INFORMATION PROCESSING SHORT-STAY VISAS Regarding holders of residence permit issued by the Republic of Cyprus According to the EUROPEAN LEGISLATION in force, pursuant to Article 6 (1)(b) of Regulation (EU) 2016/399 of the European Parliament and of Council of 9 March 2016 on the rules governing the movement of the persons across Schengen borders, they do not need a visa to enter to the Schengen area. Annex 22 stipulates the residence permits that are exempt from the obligation to obtain a visa. In this context, the consulate cannot accept applications for short-stay visas.
