Both of my boys have been confirmed by their vets to have wet FIP.

In Max’s case, the vet performed an ultrasound, found fluid in his abdomen, and extracted the fluid from his belly for examination. Based on his clinical condition and the examination of the abdominal fluid, the vet confirmed that he has wet FIP.

Lou was confirmed to have fluid in his belly through a physical examination, and his blood test also came back positive for FIP. The vet therefore confirmed that he has wet FIP as well.

We have already started their treatment. Max started his treatment on 13 August, and Lou started his on 27 August.

The treatment plan given by their vets is for 84 days. Every day at 7:30 p.m., I take both of them to a lady who administers their injections. Their vets advised that, in their specific cases, the treatment should be given by injection rather than pills, especially for Max, because he arrived at the emergency clinic in a very serious and dangerous condition.

Max weighs a little over 3 kg and needs one 10 ml bottle every 7 days. Lou weighs around 5 kg and needs one 10 ml bottle every 4 days. Each 10 ml bottle costs me €50, and I’m currently getting the medication through a rescuer who helps me with the treatment.

Based on my calculations, I will need approximately 33 bottles in total for both treatments, which comes to €1,650 just for the medication.

I have attached Lou’s blood test results and the receipt for his tests, as well as a photo of Max’s belly. I can provide more details regarding Lou’s blood test if needed.

Regarding Max, if further documentation is required, I can contact the emergency clinic where I took him and ask them to provide me with his medical report. I didn’t take the report at the time because I was completely focused on finding the treatment for him. The vet told me that if I couldn’t get the injection within one or two days at the latest, he could die, so my priority that day was simply to find the medication as quickly as possible.

The emergency clinic also recommended that I order the injectable treatment from a Russian website, which, if I remember correctly, was around €130.

I also want to explain that my situation is currently very difficult. I have recently had my second breast surgery, and at the moment I am on sick leave and unable to work because I cannot properly use my hands. I have medical documentation confirming that I am unable to work for two months.

Even taking the boys to their injections every evening is difficult for me. My neighbours have been helping me by carrying the cats to my car because I am not able to do it myself.

So, yes, my situation is quite delicate at the moment, both physically and financially. I am doing everything I can for my boys and following the veterinary advice given for their specific conditions.

I completely understand that you are trying to help, and I truly appreciate your concern, kindness, and willingness to help us. ❤️ Their vets have already assessed them and recommended the treatment that they believe is appropriate for each of their individual cases, so for now I feel it is important for me to follow that advice and continue with their injectable treatment.

I don’t have those documents with me at the moment. As I explained, that day my priority was not getting paperwork in my hands — it was finding the medication for him as quickly as possible because he was in a very serious condition. I was told that he needed the injection within one or two days at the latest, otherwise he could die.

I was there when they performed the ultrasound, showed me that he had fluid in his abdomen, and extracted the fluid for examination. They explained to me that, based on what they were seeing, they were considering FIP or another serious condition, including cancer, and after assessing his clinical condition and the fluid, they diagnosed him with wet FIP.

I will therefore contact the clinic and try to obtain the actual ultrasound report and fluid analysis when I am able to get there.

At the moment, I am also recovering from my second breast surgery, which I had on 19 August, and I am dealing with a postoperative complication and medical appointments of my own. Because of this, it may take me a little time to get to the clinic and collect Max’s documentation. My focus right now is unfortunately divided between my own recovery and taking care of the boys.

Regarding the dosage, I have already been informed that the amount of medication will be adjusted according to their weight. I weigh both boys every other day, and the person who administers their injections has explained to me that their dosage in mL will be adjusted as their weight changes, so I am already monitoring this closely.

I actually just came back from taking them for their injections tonight, and I was also informed that there is newer research regarding the duration of treatment, with some protocols potentially allowing treatment to be completed in around two months rather than the full 84 days. So I am also waiting to see how this develops and will continue following the veterinary advice given for their individual cases.

For now, I’ll send you the blood test results I have, so Vladimir can have a look at them first, and I will try to obtain Max’s additional documentation as soon as I am physically able to go to the clinic.

My priority that day was not to leave with paperwork — it was to find his injection as quickly as possible, because the doctor told me that he had only one to two days at most.

I need to contact the clinic and go there to collect the ultrasound report and the results of the abdominal fluid analysis. I have also attached the name of the clinic where I took him that day.

I was there when they performed the ultrasound, showed me that his abdomen was full of fluid, and extracted the fluid in front of me for examination. They explained that, based on what they were seeing, they were considering FIP or another serious condition, including cancer. After assessing his clinical condition and the fluid, they diagnosed him with wet FIP.

At the same time, I also called another vet and explained everything that had been found. After hearing about Max’s condition and the findings, he also told me that it was FIP and advised me not to continue with further investigations or spend additional money analysing the fluid. So, on that day, I did consult two vets regarding Max.

I have attached photos of Max so you can see how swollen his abdomen was, full of fluid, when he was unwell, compared with how normal he looks now after starting treatment.

The person who administers their injections also has more than 20 years of experience caring for cats and has experience administering this treatment to many other cats, so I am following the guidance I have been given and keeping a close eye on their weight.

I have my two boys, Max and Lou, both diagnosed with FIP, and they need an 84-day treatment.

Max weighs around 2 kg and needs approximately one bottle per week. Lou weighs around 5 kg and needs one bottle every four days. Each bottle costs €50, which I’m able to get from a rescuer at this price.

For the full 84 days, I calculate that I will need around 33 bottles, which comes to a total of approximately €1,650.

So far, I have received:
• €100 from one of my clients when Max was first diagnosed on 13 Aug
• €300 from my neighbours
• €10 from Vladislav through Revolut
• €5 from Diana through Revolut
• €10 from Evgenia through Revolut

So I have received €425 so far, leaving approximately €1,225 still needed for their treatment.

Lou had the tests done, and I’m going to send you the photo again because, honestly, I’m still figuring out how to use this application. I don’t even know if I already sent it to you here or in the chat.

They took blood from Lou and did the tests shown in the photo. They also examined his abdomen by palpation, and his belly was very enlarged and full of fluid.

Max was actually the first one to be diagnosed. He had an ultrasound, which also showed that his abdomen was full of fluid. I can get the medical records from the clinic and provide the clinic’s name as well. At the time, I honestly wasn’t focused on getting paperwork because my main concern was Max and getting him vaccinated, as the doctor had told me he only had one or two days, maximum, to get the vaccine.

I consulted three different vets, including the emergency clinic, and all of them told me the same thing — that Max had FIP. I was actually there when they extracted the fluid from his abdomen.

With Lou, as soon as we started the treatment, his belly began to go down, he became more active, and he is responding very well to the medication.

Max ( black and white ) had an ultrasound, and yellow fluid was extracted from his abdomen. The vet said it could be FIP or, less likely given his young age, cancer. I’ll send the reports as soon as I have them.

About a week later, Lou developed similar symptoms, including a very swollen abdomen. After antibiotics failed to help, we did the blood tests I sent you and started the same treatment as Max.

Loud he is more active and playful, and his belly has gone down considerably. He still rests more than usual, but it may be too early to judge.

Max is playful and looks very healthy. No big belly at all, the liquid gone.

The treatment seems to be working well for both of them. I would really appreciate your opinion and feedback. ❤️🐾
