Cyprus investment firm with office in Limassol is looking for a Settlement office into Operations department.
Principal Responsibilities:
• Orderly process and settle trades in financial instruments (including trade capture, confirmation, matching and carrying out investigations concerning any settlement delays, etc.) as well as client non trading orders processing (securities receipt, withdrawal, transfers, DVP/RVP orders)
• Ensure proper record keeping of proprietary and client transactions, balances and transfers details and documents, including client non-trading instructions
• Perform reconciliations, including reconciling trades and securities balances and derivatives open positions between back-office system and statements of external providers (brokers and/or custodians)
• Negotiate and resolve operational issues with external providers (Banks, Custodians, Clearing agents, etc.)
• Liaise with the Company's auditors and the competent authorities
• Optimize and automate processes and functionality
• Develop, review and update policies, procedures and manuals
Key requirements:
• University degree in Banking, Finance and similar areas
• Knowledge of the settlement process in Euroclear/Clearstream, DTC and European local markets, as well as taxes and charges related to trades
• At least 3 years of experience in brokerage/investment firm
• Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Fluent/Upper Intermediate English level
• A “hands-on” work ethic
• Ability to work with tough deadlines and extra hours
