Senior Ship Operator
We are looking for an experienced Senior Ship Operator to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage day-to-day vessel operations and communications with Masters
• Coordinate with Charterers, Owners, Agents, and terminals
• Monitor vessel schedules, cargo operations, and voyage progress
• Issue voyage instructions and ensure compliance with Charter Party requirements
• Appoint and liaise with port agents, review PDAs and FDAs
• Prepare and verify freight, hire, off-hire, demurrage, despatch, and deadfreight calculations
• Review Bills of Lading and shipping documentation
• Monitor bunker consumption and coordinate bunker requirements
• Track vessel performance and prepare underperformance claims when applicable
• Optimize voyages to achieve operational efficiency and cost savings
• Assist with cargo claims and operational reporting
Requirements:
• University degree in Shipping, Economics, Business, Logistics, or a related field
• Minimum 3 years of experience in ship operations, chartering, transportation, or logistics
• Good understanding of shipping industry practices
• Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
