Mexican fintech Plata Card is looking for an experienced Accountant with expertise in Payroll.

Plata Card is a digital financial services and technology company that aims to become the primary financial relationship of Mexican consumers and to reward their financial life through inclusion, simplicity, convenience, trust, and security.

💡Responsibilities:
- Calculate employee salaries, benefits, and related deductions, ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing
- Manage and organize the company's financial and tax accounting, maintaining records in compliance with relevant regulations
- Analyze and manage operational expenses, identifying cost-saving opportunities and improving efficiency
- Oversee procurement and payments for various expenses, including IT equipment, rentals, and miscellaneous purchases
- Monitor cash flow, prepare financial reports, and assist in budgeting and financial planning
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure proper financial and accounting procedures
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for audits and compliance purposes
- Assist in financial analysis and provide insights to support strategic decision-making
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information with discretion

💡Requirements:
- Experience with payroll
- 3+ proven experience in accounting and financial management.
- Knowledge of accounting principles, tax regulations, and financial/management reporting
- Experience of participation an external audit
- Proficiency in English is required, and knowledge of Greek, Spanish, or Russian is a plus.

💡Will be a plus:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
