Job Description:

CentaurSoftware is seeking a highly skilled and motivated DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic, remote team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing both our local and AWS infrastructure, overseeing and developing our CI/CD pipeline, participating in web application development, and creating internal tools for platform analysis and maintenance. Responsibilities:

Manage and maintain local and AWS cloud infrastructure based on Docker containers.
Develop, manage, and optimize continuous integration and deployment processes.
Participate in web application development efforts to ensure seamless operations between development and infrastructure.
Design, develop, and maintain internal tools for platform analysis, performance monitoring, and routine maintenance.

Skills and Qualifications:

Solid experience managing Docker-based infrastructures.
Proficiency in CI/CD tools like Jenkins, both UI and pipeline development.
Strong knowledge of NGINX.
Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and docker-compose.
Familiarity with orchestration tools like Nomad, K8N.
Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Ansible and Terraform.
Experience with version control systems, particularly GitHub, and familiarity with GitHub Actions or AWS Pipeline.
Knowledge of programming languages like Java/Kotlin and/or Python.
Solid understanding and practical experience with SQL.
Knowledge of best practices and IT operations in an always-up, always-available service.
Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with Kubernetes (K8s) is a plus.
Familiarity with Helm package manager for Kubernetes is a plus.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role.
