Role description
🔸 As a Business Analyst within the Compliance department you will focus on improving the Transaction Monitoring and Anti-Fraud suite of the Company. You will use a variety of quantitative methods to assess the performance of Transaction Monitoring systems in place, propose improvements and collaborate with our development, product and data science teams to implement the changes
Responsibilities:
🔸 General work cycle: analyze available data related to money laundering and fraud, propose new business rules, translate business rules into machine readable format, backtest, assess results, write technical specifications, release business rules in production;
🔸 Assess operational effectiveness of Transaction Monitoring and Fraud monitoring system on a regular basis;
🔸 Propose improvements to increase operational effectiveness of the systems (based on false positive vs. true positive ratios and other parameters) and catch up with new trends/developments in ML/TF and fraud practices, based on data, using unconventional data sources and patterns;
🔸 Participate in designing the system requirements for Transaction Monitoring / Anti-Fraud engine and dashboards;
🔸 Liaise with development, product and data science teams to implement improvements;
🔸 Initiate and take responsibility for ad hoc project work in collaboration with other teams and external partners/vendors;
🔸 Performing other duties as reasonably required for the operational efficiency (proactively deemed necessary by the employee) or/and as communicated by the manager.
Experience:
🔸 Fluency in both written and oral English; One of the following: Dutch, French, German, Russian or Italian working proficiency will be a strong plus
🔸 2 years of proven experience as a business analyst and/or project manager;
🔸 Previous experience working in a financial institution of any kind (bank, PSP, fintech);
🔸 Skills in writing Technical Specifications;
🔸 Knowledge of SQL
