Staff Backend Engineer (Node.js, GCP), Remote

We’re looking for a Staff Backend Engineer to join a fast-growing startup building a workforce management platform for companies in USA market.
This role has high impact and is perfect for someone who enjoys startup environments and ownership.

Tech stack: Node.js, TypeScript, GCP (or other Clouds), Kubernetes.

What you’ll do:
✔️Design scalable systems and improve platform performance;
✔️Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code;
✔️Mentor senior engineers and support team growth;
✔️Work closely with the engineering team on architecture, reviews, and planning;
✔️Integrate 3rd-party APIs (payments, CRMs, etc.).

Requirements:
▫️10+ years in software engineering;
▫️5+ years with Node.js, relational databases, Kubernetes;
▫️3+ years with TypeScript and GCP;
▫️Experience mentoring engineers
▫️Strong system design and documentation skills
▫️Startup mindset and strong ownership
▫️English B2+

📍Located in European timezone
B2B contract

Team: 11 engineers, light processes, high autonomy.
