9-month minimum contract.
8 hours a day
4-5 hours overlap per day:
8 a.m. 12(13) p.m. by Chicago time
English: B2+
5400 - 6500 usd before taxes.

Scala Engineer is responsible for building and optimizing high-performance backend systems that power the data-driven applications. In this role, you will work with modern streaming technologies, distributed processing frameworks, and cloud-native architectures to deliver scalable, reliable, and high-availability solutions.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree( photo of diploma must be presented at the stage of submitting application;
- Strong experience in Java and API and service development;
- 2+ years of professional Scala experience;
- 2+ years working with Akka, especially for data streaming or distributed systems;
- Experience with streaming/data pipeline frameworks such as Spark Streaming, Flink, Kafka, Kinesis, or similar technologies;
-  Proficiency in building and consuming RESTful APIs;
- AWS cloud services (serverless, compute, storage, or data services) and  familiarity with DevOps practices (we use Azure DevOps);
- Working written/spoken English.
