📢 We Are Hiring: Chief Accountant

A shipping company is looking for an experienced Chief Accountant to lead the accounting function across our company and its affiliates.
You will ensure accurate financial reporting, compliance with legislation, and coordination of finance activities across multiple locations.

🔹 Responsibilities:
• Oversee all accounting functions for the company and affiliates
• Ensure smooth operation of accounts and reporting
• Maintain proper books in line with legislation
• Liaise with auditors; support audits (local & international standards)
• Assist with annual tax computations and provisional tax submissions
• Prepare regulatory reports (Statistics, Central Bank of Cyprus, etc.)
• Support accounting/audit/tax matters in the UAE
• Manage teams in Cyprus (4) and UAE (2)
• Maintain accounting policies and procedures
• Participate in finance automation projects

🔹 Requirements:
• Proven experience as Chief Accountant / senior accounting role
• Strong knowledge of IFRS & local standards
• Experience with Cyprus tax & reporting
• Ability to manage multi-location teams
• Strong analytical, organizational & communication skills

🔹 Nice to have:
• International experience
• Accounting certifications
• ERP/software knowledge
• Automation & process improvement experience
