Who We Are Looking For
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Web Hosting Administrator to manage and optimize our hosting environment. You’ll be responsible for ensuring that our users’ websites run smoothly, securely, and reliably. The ideal candidate has strong Linux admin skills, hosting support experience, and a customer-first mindset.
What You Bring
• 3+ years of experience in web hosting administration
• Deep understanding of Linux system administration
• Strong WordPress knowledge, including common plugins and performance tuning
• Solid experience with MySQL/MariaDB optimization and troubleshooting
• Familiarity with DNS management and domain configurations
• Knowledge of email server configuration (Postfix, Exim, Dovecot) and deliverability best practices
• Bash scripting and similar to automate routine tasks
• Ability to diagnose and resolve hosting issues in a timely manner
• Experience working with support ticket systems and live chat platforms
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English
Will Be A Plus
• Experience with Virtuozzo products, including: Virtuozzo Application Platform, Virtuozzo Hybrid Infrastructure, Virtuozzo Containers
• Experience with OpenStack
• Familiarity with LiteSpeed, CloudLinux, Imunify360, or similar tools
• Exposure to website migration and malware cleanup
• Understanding of website security practices (e.g. SSL, firewalls, brute force prevention)
• Prior customer support experience
What You’ll Do
• Manage and maintain our Linux-based hosting environments
• Ensure uptime, performance, and security of customer websites
• Respond to hosting-related issues and work closely with support team to resolve them
• Set up and manage DNS zones, email accounts, and SSL certificates
• Perform regular system updates, backups, and patches
• Automate repetitive admin tasks using scripting tools
• Monitor server metrics and take proactive measures to address anomalies
• Assist with onboarding and migrations for new user
