The Role:
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Development or Principal Engineer with hands-on expertise in algorithmic programming to lead our prop trading technology team, focused on HFT strategies within market microstructure. You will oversee the entire software development lifecycle, maintaining and enhancing our codebase while driving the implementation of advanced trading strategies that utilize cutting-edge technology and quantitative models. You will be given the freedom and resources to build your own team while taking on the responsibility to deliver timely and innovative solutions to complex trading problems. This role demands proven experience in trading technology and a deep commitment to industry best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the development and execution of algorithmic trading strategies, emphasizing quantitative models.
• Ensure the optimization of trading infrastructure for speed, reliability, and scalability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align technology with business objectives.
• Maintain ownership of core development projects and lead a high-performing team.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8+ years of experience in programming, with at least 3 years in a Senior or Staff Engineering role in algorithmic trading development.
• Extensive experience in developing and executing algorithmic trading strategies, with a strong understanding of market microstructure.
• Proficiency in C++ or C# and .NET technologies, experience with trading platforms and data analysis tools is a plus.
• Proficiency with CI/CD processes, including version control tools like Git and platforms such as GitLab.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a track record of ownership and delivering impactful projects.
• A proactive, entrepreneurial mindset with a drive to innovate.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively collaborating across different teams and organizational levels.
• Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop high-performing teams in a fast-paced trading environment.
