Job Opportunity: Senior Database Administrator

We are looking for an experienced Senior Database Administrator to join our team and take charge of managing, optimizing, and ensuring the security and availability of our databases.

🛠 Job Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years as a DBA in operational and production environments, preferably across at least 2 different companies.
- AWS & Aurora MySQL: Proven hands-on experience.
- Performance Tuning & Optimization (PTO): Expertise in using native monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
- High Availability (HA) & Disaster Recovery (DR): Proficiency in replication, failover clusters, and backup strategies.
- Database Security: Hands-on experience with user access management, encryption, and auditing practices.
- Collaboration Skills: Ability to work closely with developers and system administrators to implement database best practices.
- Monitoring Tools: Experience with tools like CloudWatch, Datadog, or Prometheus to maintain database health and address bottlenecks.
- Scripting Skills: Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or Bash to automate database tasks.
- Agile Tools: Familiarity with JIRA, Confluence, and Scrum processes, including incident tracking, documentation, and team collaboration.
- Leadership: Capability to conduct database reviews, mentor junior DBAs, and enhance database management processes.
- Availability: Must be online and accessible during core business hours until 12 PM CST / 1 PM EST to provide support and handle incidents.

➕ Nice to Have:
Experience with automation tools like Ansible or Terraform.
AWS certifications.
Knowledge of Oracle, PostgreSQL, Redshift, ElasticSearch, or Redis.
