Job Title: IT Developer – Payment Gateway Development

Job Description: We’re looking for an experienced Payment IT Developer with a solid background in programming and API integrations. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with our development team to build, enhance, and optimize a next-generation payment gateway platform. This role demands expertise in back-end and front-end programming and experience with API integrations, essential for delivering seamless functionality across different payment processing channels.

Seniority Level:
Senior Developer with 5+ years of experience in software payment development, particularly in backend and API integration roles.
Experience in payment systems would be ideal, as these sectors require in-depth knowledge of security, compliance (e.g., PCI DSS), and complex transaction workflows. Payment Gateway Expertise: Familiarity with the architecture and flow of payment processing systems. Experience in this domain shows an understanding of specific challenges and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, test, and deploy new features for our payment gateway platform, ensuring robust and secure functionality.
• Collaborate with team members to design and implement a scalable and reliable system architecture.
• Integrate third-party APIs and internal systems to facilitate seamless payment processing and transactions.
• Optimize code and system performance, identifying and addressing any bottlenecks or bugs.
• Stay updated with the latest technology trends and implement best practices for payment gateway development.
• Work with the development team to continuously improve the gateway’s security, user experience, and efficiency.

Required Skills & Experience:
• Programming Languages: Strong proficiency in at least two of the following: Java, Python, PHP, C#, Ruby, JavaScript.
• Frameworks: Experience with relevant frameworks, such as Node.js, Django, Ruby on Rails, or Spring Boot.
• API Integration: Proven experience with API integrations, including RESTful and SOAP APIs, and experience with handling authentication, authorization, and security protocols.
• Database Management: Strong knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
• Payment Gateway Knowledge: Familiarity with payment gateway architecture and processing flows is a strong plus.
• Security Standards: Understanding of security best practices, especially PCI DSS compliance and data encryption methods. Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with Payment Systems: Prior experience in payment systems or financial technology is highly desirable.
• Front-end Development: Proficiency in front-end languages (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus.
• Cloud Platforms: Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud for application hosting and scaling.
