The Alternative is a technology-focused investment company, a new spin-off of Target Global, with over €1.2bn in assets under management, a strong network of 200+ investors, and a diverse portfolio encompassing several dozen companies.
We are seeking an experienced "all-rounder" to join us as an HR Business Partner who will design and oversee human resources practices and processes and ensure the smooth operation and continuous improvement of HR functions within the group of companies in Cyprus and the UK (50 people).
🚀Responsibilities
• Strategic Initiatives: Design business-tailored HR initiatives that enable our business to thrive and scale.
• Payroll Management: Overseeing payroll processes, including data input, calculations, and employee communications.
• HR System Management: Managing HR systems (e.g., Bamboo HR, AppRaise, Notion) and ensuring data accuracy.
• Providers Management: Managing relationships with external providers regarding medical insurance, legal support, etc.
• Performance Management: Overseeing the performance management system and conducting engagement surveys.
• Internal Communications: Managing company-wide communications, including Slack channels and Notion page updates.
• Onboarding and Off-boarding: Facilitating a smooth onboarding process for new employees. Managing exit interviews, documentation, and communication during off-boarding.
🤓Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Sociology, Business Administration, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in HR management/HR business partnering, in a start-up international environment or financial services.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Strong stakeholder management and problem-solving skills.
• Previous experience working with external providers in Cyprus is a plus.
