We are looking for a competent Events & Community manager to oversee and organize events that will impact our target audience, ensuring that events are successful and cost-effective, paying attention to budget and time constraints, and acting as a project manager who understands marketing and promotion techniques.
To be successful in this role, you need to have exceptional oral and written communication skills, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to moderate online and offline conversations with our community. Ultimately, you should be able to act as the face and voice of Fluence in relevant interactions, and manage all community communications.
If you are enthusiastic by nature, a ‘people person’ with fresh ideas and the organizational skills required to not leave anything about an event to chance
Your Challenge and what you will do:
• Ecosystem growth (find and develop contacts with a variety of communities, partners, events, etc)
• Lead event operations and coordinate collaborations with the ecosystem partners
• Coordinate event marketing, promotion, and community outreach for events
• Plan and oversee event logistics: manage event postings, attendee registrations, email communications, and speaker outreach and coordination
• Lead the communications in telegram and slack groups, announcements, conversations, moderation
We expect and nice to have
• 3+ years of proven experience in event management worldwide
• We expect ability to travel, no visa/passport restrictions - must have!
• Experience launching community initiatives (e.g. building an online forum, launching an ambassador program, creating an event series)
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills - Bilingual or fluent speaker is a must (English)
• Ability to identify and track relevant community metrics (e.g. repeat attendance at events, etc)
• Exceptional communication skills, verbal and written, with needed confidence to be under the spotlight, and engage with a large group audience
• Excellent organizational and project management skills
