✅Responsibilities:
— Build scalable backend systems and APIs
— Deliver top-quality code that scales and fits our business needs
— Participate in steering the tech stack for our software solutions
— Architect and implement software solutions to be future-ready

— Be involved in collaborations with external vendors

✅Requirements
— Significant professional experience, preferably in fast-growing, international SaaS companies
— Proven experience in serverless cloud-native environments using TypeScript and NodeJS
— A passion for API-driven development in high load, transactional environments
— Knowledge with automated testing and of when and what to test
— Experience in CI/CD, IaC, pull/merge request and code reviews
— Experience with event-driven architectures, domain-driven design, resilience patterns and microservices (e.g. familiar with durable function paradigm)
— Experience with document databases (like MongoDB or CosmosDB) including data migration models
— Proactive problem solver. You leave code and processes in better shape than when you first encountered them
— Teamplayer: you are passionate about working with talented teammates. Your heart beats for receiving and giving feedback, to grow both personally and as an engineer
— Interest and passion to learn and experiment with new technologies and follow the best practices in software development for agile environments
— Experience working with or even integrating ERPs (e.g. MS Navision) is a plus
— Strong written and spoken English skills

— Good understanding of Microservices, Event driven, MonoRepo, Node.js, TypeScript;
— Has understanding the importance of strong people management 121s, personal development, L&D;
— Has managed a team of remote / distributed engineers BUT doesn't micro manage;
— Interested in the wider aspects of the SDLC (not just development and coding but testing, product, devops, infra/architecture) - everything that goes into building software;

— Able to be our Head of Engineering deputy effectively - being interested in not just the technical aspects, but is aligned with business goals;
— Has a strong personality: knows and instils engineering best practices into teams and is a strong people person, able to manage, coach, lead and ultimately have some really rewarding conversations  skills.
