DevOps and DataBase engineer

Skanestas Investments Limited is a European-licensed investment firm (CySEC), specialising in traditional brokerage and portfolio management services to retail and professional clients.
We are proud to have a young and dynamic team of experienced wealth management and compliance professionals and are constantly looking for talented candidates to join our company.
As our team is expanding, we are looking to hire a DevOps and DataBase engineer.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Administration of Linux servers (virtual / physical):
 installation and configuration of new machines;
 setting up accounts / accesses;
 network setup / security / certificates;
 health check;
 disk space monitoring;
 machine load monitoring;
 combining machines into clusters;

• Administration of internal services (Gitlab, Jupyter Hub, Airflow, Superset, Kafka, Redis);

• Preparing Pipeline to deploy services using Gitlab CI;

• Database Administration (Clickhouse, Postgres):
 setting up accounts / accesses;
 database setup;
 resource consumption monitoring;
 data quality monitoring;

• Setting up and monitoring backups.

CANDIDATE PROFILE
• Degree in computer science, information systems, or relevant field;
• Prior experience as a DevOps or in a similar position;
• Solid experience in Linux administration, writing bash scripts;
• Knowledge of DB administration (PostgreSQL, Clickhouse), SQL;
• Python (basic+);
• Experience with docker, docker-compose, Kubernetes;
• Understanding of CI/CD principles and release management;
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
• High-level written and verbal communication skills;
• Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
