**Responsibilities

**We are looking for experienced engineers to join our team working on further development of Statistical Analysis Software for our customer who is a leading sports analytics company.
You will focus on development of software components that process data from external API endpoints to transform the information according to an algorithm provided by the Customer. After processing the information will get pushed towards the API data sink for further processing. Ideal candidate will have experience or at least theoretical knowledge about AWS solutions and will be able to understand requirements of various APIs, develop software accordingly and write Unit Tests for his/her code.
Project will be run in Agile Sprint based methodology.

**Requirements

**__Mandatory:
__– 4+ years of software development experience
– Proficiency in Ruby programming skills
– AWS awareness from the standpoint of developer working on a code running on AWS
– Good command of English both spoken and written
– Understanding of object-oriented programming and preferably knowledge of any other object-oriented programming language.
– Github know-how

__Will be a plus:
__– Understanding of Agile software development
– SQL/NoSQL databases
– Knowledge about AWS solutions, especially about Special Storage Services (S3) buckets and SQL/NoSQL databases.

**Responsibilities
**In this role you will be a Scala developer in one of our cross-functional development team. Likely technical challenges you will be facing in your first year at Moneyfarm will be related to adapting the architecture of our systems with strong customer growth in mind, and to enhancing our value proposition.

– Together with your team, you own the development, maintenance and non-functional aspects of some of Moneyfarm core systems. e.g. our trading and billing systems.

– Mentor and support your more junior colleagues, using your experience to help them.
– Work closely with colleagues from around the wider engineering team to define and evolve our systems architecture.
– Own the production operation and non-functional aspects of the systems you create.
– Work closely with your team’s Engineering Lead and Product Manager to design upcoming projects for the team.

**Requirements
**__Mandatory:
__– Scala commercial experience is highly preferred, but not essential provided you have strong transferable skills, e.g. Java 8+, Kotlin, functional programming, etc. (5+ years experience)
– Proven track record of delivering projects successfully
– Able to communicate effectively in English (written and spoken)

__Will be a plus:
__– Experience in React
– BSc in Software Engineering or Computer Science or higher degree
– Experience working with microservices architectures, event streaming systems and cloud providers
– Kafka, Kubernetes and AWS knowledge
– A good understanding of agile methodologies (particularly Kanban/Lean), their principles and their ceremonies.
