A quick update for anyone considering a capacity upgrade on their existing solar PV system.

As of 1 January 2026, the EAC has issued new clarifications for upgrade applications under self-consumption schemes (Net Metering, Virtual Net Metering, etc.).

Here's what changes in practice:

— A new application to the EAC is required for any capacity increase

— The duration of your contract is not affected

— Maximum capacity: 1-phase up to 4 kW, 3-phase up to 10 kW

How the upgrade process works:

1. We have to arrange an appointment to check whether your property has enough available space for additional panels.

2. If suitable, we prepare a quotation for the upgrade.

3. Once you accept the quotation, we submit the new application to the EAC on your behalf.

4. Once approved, we proceed with the upgrade and arrange a new appointment for approval.
